Catatonic
Locked in a prison
Of my own design
There were no early warnings
There were no signs
My mind put up walls
Surrounded me on all sides
Afraid for it's survival
Trying to preserve it's own life
And though my brain thrived
Outwardly, to everyone else I died
Emotionless
Catatonic
Schizophrenic
Frozen in a state of decline
My mind and body became
Separate entities
But needed each other to survive
Now I sit motionless
In my own special room
Big picture window
Provides my own special view
My mind running wild
But my feet sitting still
Trapped in my body
Against my own will
Of my own design
There were no early warnings
There were no signs
My mind put up walls
Surrounded me on all sides
Afraid for it's survival
Trying to preserve it's own life
And though my brain thrived
Outwardly, to everyone else I died
Emotionless
Catatonic
Schizophrenic
Frozen in a state of decline
My mind and body became
Separate entities
But needed each other to survive
Now I sit motionless
In my own special room
Big picture window
Provides my own special view
My mind running wild
But my feet sitting still
Trapped in my body
Against my own will
