Author's Note
I haven't posted in ages and right now, there's absolutely nothing. A bit sad, because I am trying to get back into writing. It feels as if my heart has some writers block; most of me needs heart to write about what matters to me. Or, maybe I just need a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon?
All writing remains the property of the author. Don't use it for any purpose without their permission.

Looks and sounds to me as if there are words within that are aching to be expressed, slowly gathering momentum. I reckon from somewhere behind the veil, the poem throws a hook to the poet, and writing something down (anything down) helps a poet know themselves better - which is where it all starts.

Thank you, Josh 🌻 I think you're right. It's somewhere deep within, dormant, waiting for a spot of sunshine and inspiration to burst forth.

I came back and found myself writing when all I intended was to visit. The coming back was clearly a desire in me for these halls. Your heart will know when your head has found the words to express its feelings and the words will flow. And yes, a glass or two of your favorite red always seems to help.
Thank you for the write.

A dismal place go I
suffering the woes of dark
over bumps and vines
but my pen will rise

Thanks for honestly expressing what we all, maybe almost all, of us feel at one time or another as we try to release poetic and meaningful words. Peace. oral

Who hasn't been here at one stage or another? I'm regularly in this state of flux, so much so that it doesn't overly bother me & why should it? It's not as if some publisher is waiting on my every word like in that Bryan Adams video, 'Summer of 69' video. ;-)
Although admittedly, it'd be nice to be in demand every now & then!

Definitely hate that blocked feeling
But your words are definitely there
I see how you respond to those who reach out to you
And the way you comment to those you venture to visit, which is how I discovered you
You feel it
You write it
Whether poem or comment
The dictionary is chock full of words
Yet it is the way you arrange them that gives them true meaning in the minds of those you read and encourage
Thank You

Writer's block is a caul, that can make one scream at times. It's often a challenge to get back to where you belong. In a choir of poets.

I relate to that wholeheartedly... Sometimes all we can muster are poems about not being able to write lol. Welcome back! Its elegantly worded, and utterly relatable... Nicely posted, ma'am!

Maybe this will help - Christmas Knickers by Rebecca Andrew and Candy Croc which is two short stories which has a character who is a writer with writers block and find a pathway via sex or at least a new sexual relationship.
My writing has not had the benefit of this medicine but I am writing about the loving relationship I have with my partner and we discuss what we want to achieve when we finally get together including our sex life, when it happens, and this has given me some confidence to write poems which are gaining some brilliant comments from some of the best writers in DUP.
take a look at the website booksbyrebecca and I think you can download a free copy there.
Regards
Richard

Have you had that glass of cabernet sauvignon?
Honestly expected a word or two from you about the election and the Capitol riots as well
Love your visits
Awaiting your ink flow
