As a professional Pet Sitter I'm lucky enough to play with and care for cats, dogs, birds, pigs (tea cup.. Omg!) and pretty much any other domesticated animal as my job. (hardly a job!!)  
I'm in total agreement and I tend to love the furry ones more than most people, too.

Trapping those feral kitties can be super duper tricky. Some Humane Society locations might offer free use of their traps, which sometimes work better than an attempt to 'snatch and grab'.. lol
baited with can of tuna.... sometimes you might get an opossum in there.. lol but it usually works if you know where the kitty hangs out.

Fast as fuck and im not brave enough to grab him.
My friend andy got bit 18 times on his thumbs and got cellulitis was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Ruined his life.
