The sad part is that cops have total immunity. The pretty much can kill at will with zero repercussions.

That's not completely true in the last 50yrs. Back before the '60s' it certainly was true.
Back before then, cops could kick the shit out of any one any time. If the offenders complained to "higher ups", they were ignored & liable to get a worse ass kicking.
My father was a guard at Rikers Island in NYC the 1950s. Being the racist he was, Dad had numerous humorous stories about stuff they used to do to
n----rs with the administrators always complicit in "blind eye" & cover-ups.
Now there's some accountability, especially with everyone having a movie camera in their pockets.
It's certainly a matter of "too little - too late", but I thinks 2020 is going to mark a significant turning point in policing.
One of the most amazing thing I ever seen was them letting white-boy murderer walk away with gun intact, even when the guy was trying to give himself up! He'd just KILLED two people! He was some 100 miles down the road when they arrested him. Holy fckn shit. Just walked away from the murder of 2 unarmed guys, amidst at least 100 cops. Now that's even more insane than Mr. Floyd's death.
Yeah. We got a long way to go. Unfortunately, I'm afraid more black folks are gonna die at the hands of whiteboy cops, before this racism thing is solved. If ever.
