I Love My Real Uncle Tom

He’s a poor
old white man

on disability

Home is a small
moldy tin box

Mobile is
not mobile
or upwards
at all

Fell in love with
his soul mate

Had a
beautiful black
daughter
named Liberty

But that was
way back ‘round

1993
I wonder
how she is doing

As a full-grown
In-between

Somebody’s gonna
point out

He’s a real-white-
uncle Tom

That’s her daddy
