A True Inspiration

 
You never know what you had till it’s gone
Like two kisses till dawn
You see it took me a bit longer
To get back up
Cause you showed me a new true definition of love
But see now I don’t want to get back in it
Because seeing it from the beginning
Just hasn’t been so easy
I’ve been through tough times
And I got back up each and every time
But this time I just can’t do it
Feeling all this pain
Brought me back to it
All I want is to one day hold my child
The two of us
I don’t ever want them to know what heartbreak
Can do to a human
It’s a different kind of reality
You feel like you can’t breathe
Like someone took everything you need
You have to start all over
It’s like learning how to walk all over again
How to get dressed in the morning
Without having a purpose
I used to think that this was never going to end
Like it was going to always feel like I couldn’t breathe
But one day something changed
Inside me spiritually
I realize that I am still me
I just went through some things
All I have to do is get back up
You see I’m not a victim
But I never got back up
And he may have broke my heart
But that’s no reason to give up love
You see you go through things when you’re young
So that when you’re old
You could sit back and laugh
I want to be able to look my son in his eyes
And say
You truly are my blessing
And Nothing else is missing
With a kiss goodnight and a moon in the sky.
We’re not perfect
But all an imperfection
But you see that’s what makes me truly me
And you truly you
The key to be an inspiration
Is to be who you want to be
I am a time traveler
Who understands the depth of pain and remorse
I am not a ghost nor a hoax
But believe me when I say
I have seen my son
And he is so beautiful
I have seen myself happy in a field of flowers
It’s not a dream but a reality
And I know that it will all be here soon.
