Tree
Winds blowing harshly against me, my strong limbs bend and strain, but I will never break. In this season of pain. My roots hold firmly and soak up rain. My leaves fell beautifully in fall. Witness the magical beauty of change. The cold winter's tested my foundation, but I still remain. I am the tree that self love sustained. Through life's trials and hurricanes, of many names. I survived hide and seek, and many other games. I stand tall and strongly as I greet the sun. As my bark covers, the carved initials of the unforgotten ones. But spring breathes new life into my branches. And the summer burns hotly so the past is done.
