Roar
I'm that
freakish empathic
peace-loving hippie
willing to see the hurt
beneath the behaviour
eager to forgive
to seal your wounds
with undeserved love
because I believe
there is grace for all
But
approach my kid
with your candied lies
I'll go punk on your ass
I don't care about
your sad backstory
Grow up and
keep it in your pants
you fucking
pervert
Good thing there's
grace for all
I might need it

Awesome ferocious piece...mama bear poet 🐻 ursine hippy Goddess 😉 Other than the "punk ass" line, I love this one
"willing to see the hurt
beneath the behaviour"
Brava, Titanium❣❣

Thanks, GW. I don't often hit this level of mama bear. The write started out a lot more violent... 'punk' was my attempt to contrast with 'hippie'... picturing the drifty flower child turning into a mosh-pit animal 😬😎
Thanks for the love!

Dear B,
I have visited this poem a few times already and started responses only to delete and come back.
Don’t touch children!
What is wrong with these people? I don’t think you’d need anyone’s grace or forgiveness to take out this creep. As a matter of fact I think you’d have a volunteer army of support should need be.
I envy your ability to see past the folly of behavior in most others and hope to keep this part of the poem for future use the next time someone cuts me off on the road. As for the perv...tell me where and when. H🌷

Thanks H, for the ferocious support! Hopefully no army will be necessary. I'd really prefer to continue in my peace-loving ways...

HELL to the YES! I feel the same way, BT. This was spot on.
I can overlook almost anything that is directed toward me, because as you say, hurt people hurt people. They deliberately lash out hoping for a conflict to release pent up anger and resentment. Recognizing that is imperative for peace.
But, if it's toward my children or G'precious, look the hell out. . .because I was a mama bear in my past life- I am sure of it. LOL!

Thanks, A. I needed to get this out to allow my cooler head to prevail.

Yes!! A mama bear is not to be trifled with where her cubs are concerned. I’ve been down a dark alleyway with my daughter when she was younger and it took wise words from a friend to keep her father and I from going to jail ourselves.
He died recently and upon hearing the news, all I had to say was “good fucking riddance”.
I admire your ability to see underneath the behavior, but man, some people don’t deserve the empathy.

Thanks, E. Sorry to hear about your experience. Fortunately ours only brushed the surface of what could have been (I think... who knows what a 14 year old might not be saying...) but really it just makes me irate that this is still an issue.... girls treated like objects... I'm weary of this world sometimes.
