My captor
I'm being held captive
In a dark dreary cell
Held hostage, no ransom
Nobody to help
Some days there are flashes
Of being set free
But my captor is lurking
To squash any dreams
I'm starting to get used
To my own living tomb
Instead of a cell
It feels like a womb
And when for the first time
My captor I see
Disgusted to realize
The captor is me
In a dark dreary cell
Held hostage, no ransom
Nobody to help
Some days there are flashes
Of being set free
But my captor is lurking
To squash any dreams
I'm starting to get used
To my own living tomb
Instead of a cell
It feels like a womb
And when for the first time
My captor I see
Disgusted to realize
The captor is me
