twilight soul

 
I ache in twilight  
the dusk settles upon my soul
and I keen inside the hollow places
somewhere in between destiny and fate
I've come to a place of knowing
 
I must get to know myself
I have nowhere else to go
I must face her, the inner me
shining bright, bleak and desolate
all pieces of the whole
 
little pieces scattered here and there
given to people for safekeeping
tears shed kept in a vial of memories
 
bidden forward I walk on into the future
with the understanding--  
I've made my destinations right on time
met the souls I was to meet
 
kin to my spirit they become a part of me
within the sacred understanding
I am becoming  
I am more me than I've ever been
