Lily

 
he lifted my veil and said Raven will you be my bride?
 
an oneness of soul  
a joining of my life force and his
a lovely flower in his garden dream
 
cultivated and cared for
blossoming on the winds  
a fragrant lily
 
my heart caught in my throat
that he found me worthy
he spoke into my darkness and created the light

I walk away some days
then return back to him
unsure of myself and my place in his kingdom
I just don't trust myself yet
 
I ask him lord how long will you abide with me?
he answers the good work he's begun in me  
will be continued till his return as king  
 
my tears are counted and kept
