A Ripple in Time
It rained last night
clouds bursting
pouring indifference
rumbled thunder
choked back
unshed tears
passing air kisses
never tasted
are you walking
wet asphalted road
with droopy trees
in washed sun light
Yellow lights in sepia
photographs born
of unrealised dreams
yearns for love unborn
clouds of darkness
embraces me
eyes dull
mitigating tears.

Re. A Ripple in Time
If your asking if I bumped into Rob yet
Regarding the unborn and trying to heal....nope because that place won't even acknowledge knowing him.(even though they do).
Sorry just clarifying

Dear G,
I really like the setting you’ve painted in your piece. “choked back
unshed tears
passing air kisses
never tasted” having done this many times the feeling was very visceral to me. Thinking of all the things that might have been trying to appreciate all the things that are, it’s a delicate balance. Lovely write. H🌷

Recovery from thunder and rain is sometimes quite nauseatingly sad, drew in line by line and the next to last stanza is my favorite now. <3
