Kicking Cans
Every sunrise
is a clean slate
* to do *
… DO …
Do the things,
everything(s)
so (&)
You’ll regret not doing;
Just go ahead
&
… DO …
!
(catch and release those synchronicities)
is a clean slate
* to do *
… DO …
Do the things,
everything(s)
so (&)
You’ll regret not doing;
Just go ahead
&
… DO …
!
(catch and release those synchronicities)

True poem, Tallen. The biggest regrets we have are the things we didn't do. . .

i concur
often during meditation,
past memories float on in
and i wonder. . .
what would've been.

Dear T,
This write made me think back as a child I use to like kicking stones when I walked. I have no idea why. Your poem is really sweet and a great push to let go and just stop postponing the things that will bring some pleasure and peace. Love the formatting also. H🌷

LOL - i think all kids kick stuff while walking
Usually in a rural setting it's
sticks and stones
and in a urban setting
it's cans
appreciate Your read and share,
here - thank You

I'm often guilty of procrastinating and hence I end up not doing it. Yes, I'm filled with regrets of not doing things that I wanted do.
So, thanks for this motivational piece. :)

i too, procrastinate and end up doing stuff
in a rush or half-ass
i have regrets of open doors and windows
where i chose to walk away
or close those openings.
appreciate Your share with me

That's a good attitude to have, Tallen... And you are right. I do regret all the 'not doing' that I've been up to lately... hmm

i have many regrets but i no longer dwell on 'em
and remember and release.
i am always hopeful that i'll not miss out when another opportunity passes my way.
thank You for the read and share and
Honored for the RL add

That's the way to be. I do for others more than for myself and I guess I'm learning to take care of my wants and needs to while still helping others of course too. I like your stuff.

thank You
Your comment reminds me of my relationship with my new neighbor.
He's wheelchair bound but gets along very well.
i always try to help out with his little dog.
Yesterday he wanted to give me one of his 3 TVs as i told him mine went kaput.
Of course i said no but in hindsight...........
Anyways,
thank You for reading my ink and sharing Your thoughts.

There is always a fork in the road. I do often wonder where I would be now, had a chose the other route. This little poem packs a punch for reflecting

i have a plethera of forks in my past but in those days i was blind and didn't develop a " Tuning Fork " and thus, passed up on many an interesting choice and / or adventure. (Like i had a chance to go to Scotland with a Professor i became friends with while i was there as a Freshman at UCLA but turned his offer down)
