Poetry hides deep within me
Buried in my heart
Lost deep in my thoughts
Poetry Hides in my words that no one seems to grasp
Poetry hides underneath my make-up
Behind my fake smile and synthetic words that tend to slip out every now and then
Poetry hides in the un blossomed rose
And in the thorns that dare you to pick it
Poetry Hides in the unanswered questions- to lazy to ask
And unsaid words- to unpredictable to say
Poetry is drowned out to the sound of my laughter
Poetry comes out with the tears
And poetry screams 'HERE I AM!' when im angry
You can spend hours searching
And only get so much
Poetry is easy to find when you let it find you

I love this. I've just seen that it's over 10 years old, and can't believe nobody has commented before. Beautifully written, and true. I've only just started feeling like a poet. I've written about 100... about three quarters of them in the past year. It turns out they are always in us, and we just need to look for them.
