Advanced Psychology.
Silence can represent much
between us: the failure of
a synapse to make its proper
connections, from one trans-
mission to its next destination,
an obstruction, or a delayed
response, due to outer causes
that have roots, established
deep in a cerebrum: one that
will lay unread, as the coroner
makes a pronounced, and final,
judgement, from the inquest.

Thank you! I've wandered from it, but psychology was something that always fascinated me. Those were among my favorite classes in school and college. How it spans both science and the humanities. So much for one to draw from!

In each school of human endeavor, there are truths to be found, both intensely personal and ubiquitously profound. As above, so below. The axiom of the sacred geometry of hermeticism. During my therapy sessions, my therapist and I would be reading each other, far more each other's silence, than words spoken. He had at least 4 tells that he was bored. He would waggle his foot, adjust his glasses on his nose, look at his watch and twiddle his pen. I found it interesting he was aware of his tells and would stop almost immediately, but we cannot help but silently express ourselves in body language and haptics. I love the neuroscience you touch into here. My Buddhist teacher instructed us a great deal about it during our discussions before and after meditation. Your close has terrific gravitas. All that goes unsaid, lost forever, as the final, sober catalogue and disposal of our mortal remains is undertaken. Great work my friend.

What is the sacred geometry you refer to? I appreciate that your story echoes what I, hoped, to reflect on. The ambiguous, if not malignant, aspect of silence. Am fortunate to know enough that I can draw from the subject, yet unfamiliar enough to play on its language (Haha.)
In seriousness, to prompt such a deep response means the world. Thank you for reading and your reflections, Daniel. <3

It's absolutely my pleasure, my friend. Here is what Wikpedia has to say about it.

I can't say I know much more than what is listed here, but reading online has been enriching to me.

Those opening lines reminded me of a saying, that only in silence we actually hear.
This poem is just begging to be read over and over, multilayered and complex, just as I always read in your prevous poems and one that needs to be highlighted in poem of the month comp. Good luck Sartoris, I sure hope you win, you do deserve it with your extraordinary talent.

Thank you for reading, and glad you enjoyed it! Though it's satisfying to prompt, even silent, contemplation (Haha.)
