My first dabble in this category. An unexpected turn on this healing journey of mine, but it’s a bit of an inside joke, I guess. Something he always requested and/or stated was going to happen, and I would laugh loudly and remind him that was an exercise in trust and i didn’t have enough in him.

Love it!!!
Can you imagine what the world would be like if we had the ability to literally read each others minds? Nothing would be secret so there'd be no need for trust. It wouldn't exist. Because we can't read minds we rely on trust based on the collective voices of our instincts. True we don't get it right every time and there's far too many arseholes out there just looking to abuse our trust in them. This is why I always tell people, especially those who mean something to me, never to trust anything or anyone at face value. Trust is earned, not given out first hand.
The best way to adopt this way of life is to is to take a simple bit of advice that helped me enormously. Question Everything!!! And by everything I mean, EVERYTHING and EVERYONE!
Not everyone you meet is an arsehole, but life is way too short to be careless.
