Nothing Stands Tall

The future is now, no escape for the conservative.
as days roll with the aging sun, I realize time is done.
Time we saw, like us, got bigger with age, we knew it’d bust.
That one day clocks would roll with the dust, as do our fathers
our mothers left to fend for, and fight in man’s game, we knew
the hands would stop getting picky, then just stop completely.
Future is upon our neighbors, our friends, finally us.
At that day when children cry for their dad’s, I won’t answer.
I won’t be able to reply, my life is left in dust.
The future will spread like cancer, that’s my answer now.
We have never seen the end, cause the hands have never stopped,
blinding eyes from looking ahead, giving no chance but death.
The future spreads as fire does, killing the un-needed.
And the ones left in the wave, it leaves their screams un-pleaded.
One day the men fall, and nothing stands tall, not a day left.
Not a day to say how you feel to a love, no day today.
Today is the day we fly away from the pain, and go above
To a place where the future remains at bay
