Epitaph Of A Soiled Earth

Once upon a time
When the world was still flat
And man had the curiosity
Of a curious little cat
He ventured forth
With infinite wisdom
Weapons of destruction
Obscured his vision
Ancient civilisations
Wiped out in a flash
Slaughtered for posterity
And most of all cash
Brave new worlds
With wisdoms so broad
Were savaged by man
Whose word was the sword
Patriarchal hierarchies
With knowledge sublime
Extinguished the innocent
Simply passing time
An unearthly quietude
Cowered in fears
As a solitude and emptiness
Are created by the years
Such infinite insensibility
With awareness so wide
Could not explain rationally
Why the planet Earth died
