Vista Hermosa
Don’t go down that avenue,
You’ll fall in love with the beautiful views,
But for those who dare explore this thoroughfare,
Be aware the affaire may leave you with a new muse.
Yet in the path they have chosen to tread,
Some instead become entranced by opportunity and chance,
Spellbound and breathless believing it's profound and deathless,
To be in ecstasy with a stunning fantasy and then perhaps romance.
Fascinated some follow the trail like it’s the holy grail,
But then they fail to realize that they too have become obsessed,
In their quest to dwell in the presence of beauty and magnificence,
They turn into something that can only be described as…possessed.
Here, poets have contemplated dreams of flight and desire,
The end of the road is overflowed with heartbreak for all to see,
But the beautiful view too is cursed and riddled without a clue,
When they have spread their wings at the cliffs overlooking the sea.
