Don't Follow Me
Don’t follow me,
It’s just that there’s something about me,
I’ve hung madly and wildly on the ledge,
It’s been fabled that I’m a little unstable,
I’ve been known to go alone over edge.
Don’t dissect this,
There’s a dichotomy about my personality,
Like a prolonged lobotomy gone wrong,
But you might just risk certain immorality,
Because this brain feigns being headstrong.
Don’t analyze it,
This verse is just the worst at making sense,
But in my defense I’m just little harebrained,
The way I like to dangle this with a pretense,
I’m just trained to hide the pain unexplained.
But if you do decide to ride my implied rhyme,
There is no direct psychology to this analogy,
Just be aware I wallow in the pain and sorrow,
When I spill my guts and leave a trail to follow me.
