Raul

There now is a place for him
across the Rainbow Bridge
Although he still lies in my Lili's arms

She brought him home three days ago
She tries to save the world
And tries to keep everything from harm

We didn't want to love him
We knew that it would hurt
But truth is we loved him from the start

In three short days we fell for him
We knew his time was short
He meowed his way into our open hearts

And now he's crossed the Rainbow Bridge
we buried him on a nearby ridge
And now he looks down on the city from the mountain above

He came and went so very fast
His memory will surely last
We sent him from this world heart full of love

Author's Note

Raul was a cat that was found in the street and we tried to save him. He was getting better and then died suddenly after three days. My wife and I feel devastated. I am shocked at how much I love that cat in such a short period of time.
