It's a great thought provoking write...
Sometimes our focus is on the want,...the "ultimate, perfect price"
rather then the need that can be fulfilled by something or someone else... that would be come the jackpot...

The thrill of the chase is many a hunter's flaw
It can be problematic to be chasing after the wrong person
All that time lost thinking that chosen person is right person
When the truth and reality of the situation shows that a wrong choice was made from the beginning

Your poem is the story of my life. Once I did look around and saw her. The love that followed was mythical. Thank you for sharing such a profound and passionate look at love and the need to look at that person who could make our dreams come true.
