Breaking silences
Is so exhausting
My voice is small
More a struggled whisper
No easing
From normality’s violence
Ahead the road of abuse
That winds on and on
Happiness seems
Something far above myself
It’s all I can do
To keep breathing

As everything conspires
To hammer home
The loneliness
Is so exhausting
