Morning Regrets

No more doormatting
This I chant, inside my jailed up brain
Let them know your thoughts inside
The truth doesn’t lie, but sure does bite
Shout it out! Shout it out!

I let my feelings go
In a sacrilegious manner
It felt nice to see such fire from me
Less nice staring at the aftermath
Of my destruction
Curse remorse.

I didn’t recognize myself this morning
Even the mirror, looked surprised
Those profane words I spit last night
Don’t look pretty this morning
The truth doesn’t lie, but sure does bite..

Put them back.. put them back..
