Negativity

Everyone feels sadness, and certain people who piss you off get on your freaking nerves.  It's how you deal with it that makes your legacy.  Keep on writing.

Sometimes we have to develop a thicker skin to protect what is within us, for its true words can hurt you and destroy the very fabric of your existence, but they never kill you it's how you take them to heart that kills us from within, through the subjecting of our own mind decisions to let them damage us into thinking that we aren't worthy, instead of us letting what someone says hurt you turn that hurt into power and strength, for by doing so you take back your self value and self worth, mentally and physically and emotionally and spiritually  kicking that low self esteem to the curb, remember positivity over negativity cause an individual can't do no more to you if you don't let them ITS CALLED POWER OVER THYSELF..respect dear poetess

I can relate to this feeling on a deep level, marina. I think it is esteem issues and paranoia... others see the good, but sometimes I just can't see it. I am a sensitive soul too... anyway, your expressive writing here really resonated with me. Thank you for sharing this :)

This vulnerable submission is a brave, poignant, and sublime write. You connect with all of us who seem to interpret that everything we do is wrong because we feel that we are undeserving of something good. My own subversiveness was based on the fears of rejection after having my heart shattered. You are a young and talented soul who I hope comes to an understanding that you do not need approval for being you.... Love who you love, live free from judgement, and love yourself. Be proud of who you are and that will change how you think your family or friends view you. We are all a work in progress.
