Utopia  Dreams

I recall the days
of my childhood
falling through a maze
of  trees and woods
I'd go back if I could
to a time so damn good
retuning my brain waves
to gone neighbourhoods
when I had pure blood
when I did as I should
as guidance steered my days
in summer holiday love

Precious times
and treasured
nursery rhymes ,
learning how
to ride my bike ,
an open window
a gone street lamp glow ,
songs I did like
on next doors radio .

My friends
from the then
are gone
in a when ,
just like that ten CC song
that was penned ,
the place where I lived
I can trace
but it's a mist ,
I  face to reminisce
the closest I'll get
to any of this  ,
utopia
bliss
euphoria
hits
sometimes I wish
away my life
that I so miss .
