Blossom (Day 20)
Blossom carpets the grass
turning it from a verdant sea of green
punctuated by white dandelions
to one of coral and flamingo pink
flecks and hints of white
where the colour has faded.
The wind whips up
creating a snowstorm
with a flurry of petals,
speech robbed by the strong breeze
and vision limited to naught but the blooms,
until the suddenness subsides
and the carpet falls to the floor once more.
