He tested Negative
The truth is
its rare out here
3 or 9 cases of the damned pandemic
I am even doubting if the government
is telling us the truth
And it’s a shame
look at how we tremble at the sound
of a cough or a sneeze
Look at how we isolate our fellow
humans, even our own family and blood
it’s a shame to see
Humans killing human
and for what?
because he was bleeding from the nose?
and you freak out? screaming in the streets
claiming its Corona?
And you believe it?
why have we stooped so low?
Oh wait I forgot we dumb and illiterate
We drive past this unseen catastrophe
the police are right by
And we do nothing, nothing
but worse still
We have killed the negative

Author's Note
I was driving past a neighborhood when i saw the police and a lot of people. I stopped and cared to ask why? They said a person suspected to have contracted corona virus had been killed. i was shocked by the news but worse still sad when i found out that he was negative.

It's truly disheartening to see such behavior from human-kind...not always the latter, sadly. We need to be better than that.

That's a shocking story and experience Garnet - but I'm glad you put pen to paper about it. That last line runs deep with several connotations; the fear is already inside us and we need to handle it better when it gets triggered and surfaced. And welcome to DUP, hoping for better times too.
