Irrational thoughts burst forth
Like a dam breaking
Emotions gushing beyond control
Destructive neurological meltdown
Switches inside my brain
Not operating properly
Distort and twisted signals
Blind me to everything
Normality quickly disappears
Fire and smoke from broken wires
Fog the reason that should prevail
Leaving a senseless wreck
All because my neural net
Has adapted differently
Taking time

About my meltdown trying to,post my first poem in this years NaPo so after I had calmed down this what came out

Wow, as someone who has irrational and paranoid thoughts, I can relate to that wholeheartedly. Losing control of your emotions like that takes a lot out of you, and it's embarrassing. I feel for you, truly. At least something good came of it, though (this great poem for me to read).

You're doing a bangup job in this year's NaPo, AP. Your offerings have been solid and quality; you'll have no problem finishing if you keep posting real poetry such as this.
