Image for the poem wildflower

wildflower

magic is upon the land
are ye yet sleeping?
awaken a new dawn is upon you
I fear little though my immortal spirit quickens
incessantly I hear the drumming
it sounds so much like a heartbeat thrumming
come home grandchild to the royal court

my heart cries but I am home wild as the wind itself
can you capture lightning in a jar?
it is quite impossible I want to stay to guard
I am needed in the garden
the weeds threaten to choke yet
even weeds have a place
I love the nature of a wildflower
in an otherwise barren grassy plain

toil not for nothing little one
I weep for loss I think there is something sacred in all spirits
I conjure not against but for our clan
please stand shoulder to shoulder with me
the abyss is coded
the ocean ordered go no further

he that is not guilty throw the first asteroid
stygian witches you were ordered to not look back
that goes for the horde to
a little salt should melt your hearts or freeze you solid
amen as Candy J says
