First impressions

Do I cover up my scars to make those around me more comfortable?
Should I wear my corset to make my curves more extreme and support my messed up back?
Should I wear my Doc Martin's or my hiking boots?
Should I wear two or six rings?
Does it even matter?
People will only see what they want.
They'll make assumptions about me.
Judgments, guesses and weak hypotheses
I lay in bed debating about how much first impressions matter.
How important your clothes are when you first meet someone
How they judge you based on the most moronic of things.
My hair is way more expensive than your angsty teen niece who stained your bathtub blue.
My corset isn't a costume and my Doc Martin's give excellent arch support.
Each ring is a talisman and if a man touches me they're legal brace knuckles
And my scars should make you uncomfortable
First impressions matter, but they never matter how they should.
