I Give You The Corona
I have looked into a stranger's sights,
Watch them say that their all ok,
Drowning in darkness with our eyes closed,
Promise me the silence of eternal rest,
Forcing me to define if it's mercy or a threat,
A pistol in my mouth letting out a laugh,
We are the road warriors of micro biology,
Snapped out the snare from a cold dark place,
Remember where you were before your birth,
Spinning in rotation around our nuclear sun,
Stuck between all the eons that have happened,
To never revisit the space we are calling home,
The human face is a race of rapture and rape,
Yet everyone walks around laced with a smile,
My patience for a million DNA strands running thin,
Repeated systems of our sin's price to exist,
Resisting an urge to see the past recycle again,
The ever lasting downward spiral in my spinal cord,
And somewhere down there, where a heart would be,
Lives more small organisms than stars in the sky,
Leading us to our clever cellular decomposition,
Watch them say that their all ok,
Drowning in darkness with our eyes closed,
Promise me the silence of eternal rest,
Forcing me to define if it's mercy or a threat,
A pistol in my mouth letting out a laugh,
We are the road warriors of micro biology,
