Call me the fool
Getting there was easy
'cause I'd walked with the workers
so there wasn't much chance
of death by frenzied stare
from the good folk
in their cars
trip home
was more tricky
I'd to bee-line
from shop to shop
and I hadn't factored in
the need to hang a carrier bag
from my wrist
as show of intent

Re. Call me the fool
I was right with you on the journey until the plastic bag pinned to your sleeve. Then I wanted to stop, clear my throat with a soft cough, dodge glares from passersby, and ask "Wut?" *
* Disclaimer: That is not an insult. It's a good, solid poem filled with relatable imagery. My ignorance just doesn't understand the plastic bag thingie. Is that a thing over there? Or here, that I am not aware of?

Hullo
Thank you. I think the pin to sleeve line was much too ambiguous. should have kept it clearer. I found simply walking towards a shop wasnt enough to deflect 'the gaze' of all the people I passed, I was the only one without some kind of shopping bag
thanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughts, lady

Re: Re. Call me the fool
I think I'd probably have gotten serious looks had I been walking with somebody else's feet :)^
I should stress, I stuck to all guidelines. and kept my eyes open for any fucker walking around with a dry cough
that said I mean, if you took away the dangers and such. and obvious seriousness and ever wondered what the script would be like when a government became a stark raving mad regime, that would probably be the repeated mantra. stay inside to save lives
that said. stay the fuck inside, lady

AHHhhhh......Mo Chara.....The "New" norm....(Sigh)! As if the simple act of walking down the street, needed validation of some sort! To all those who seem to stare with accusing eyes, its as if one must make the statement: ' Hey...i"m only going out and about to shop for N E C E S S A R Y essentials! See..i have my bag!"
Seriously, tho, Your piece clearly expresses how simple daily activities...those that we usually take for granted...have suddenly become soooo questionable...and practically "sinister"! (Joking aside! I think--for the most part--we are all living our lives with a certain amount of Fear and distrust these days!
P l e a s e Keep Safe!! May you, and Yours remain well!

Hullo
sometimes I watch the people walk the street below . still lots of cars, not very many pedestrians. it's all very surreal. we are in a state of war.
can only speak for myself, but I'm glad our war doesn't include having tomahawk missiles for breakfast
the beauty of this lock down scenario is the pressure to comply comes from the people
always a pleasure to see you walk these corridors, Enchanted one, more so when you drop by and leave your footprint

Re. Call me the fool
you carefully load in with all those measured words n spaced verses .. the state of this 'sudden' hyping up paincky today.., still the weedy ~reedy frames n still hanging layouts stinking filth with the already used~to the days' rotten ever lopsidedly captialist/ political sinking hardscum mindsets ... in a desperate effort to somehow'save' themselves .. as in all urgency they pose as if they melt in a molten truthful uncompromising flow as if they hav never corroded anything for eons in this open~sewer ratrace survival of so-civilizations they concretely stained upon this fragile Earth... All i hear here in the firm narrative... is the ever-eternal & the calling~ embracing ev simplicity n nature with ~within .. in these uncomforting times. oh,am no political commentator or any leftist or otherwise as i say these.. juzme from spiritual soulful depths ..as i feel from the strongly conveying verses..so sublime n subtle to your poetics, here brilliantly minimalistic E.. Light & Love ev, esp in these testing times.

Hullo lady
In all my years I dont think I've ever read such ...heated comment from yourself. enjoyed the opportunity. I think at the very least one should be wary of the old adage 'never let a good crisis go to waste'
I hope yourself and family are safe and comfortable, lady. I think the end of the world as we know it should be observed rather than experienced
much thanks for your visit and words, lady
*hat tip*

Re. Call me the fool
This is my favorite piece I've read about our current state of affairs
I found it incredibly honest, clever, ...personally
I agree very much about what you said to darling Uma, observed, not experienced
Great write
