WEEKEND WORDS (A POEM FOR THE TIME OF CORONAVIRUS)
There's something about you girl that makes me sweat -
Surely I've not caught coronavirus yet!
(Of which I hope you are not a carrier
now that we have dropped our moral barrier.)-
If either of us goes down with this fever,
sooner or later we'll suffer together.
I hope you have prepared in case this weekend
leads to fourteen days' confinement in the end!

Inspired by both a Facebook meme slogan, 'Be careful of who you invite for the weekend, you might end up together for fourteen days' alluding to coronavirus quarantine, and a line from INXS' Need You Tonight which contains the song line that is the poem's first line.

It can have its uses though the way people who live together are advised to segregate, I don't think we should throw hats in the air with thoughts of getting on with more 'married life'. (My preference would be to abstain then make up for it when both recovered.)
