The Change
Walking on eggshells, most don't like that,
But that's never what I meant when I kept my commenting preference like that,
I only meant, those who wanted to do harm, and those who wanted to nitpick,
Could read but not comment, not be a critic.
It would not hurt me,
Not that badly, but you see,
I just wanted the comments and the messages of critiques separate,
So that my anxiety and my poetry could be separate
(Other than poems written about anxiety),
But it seems to me,
That everyone thought they had to be overly careful not to hurt me,
And I think that's why a lot of my poems seemed to go under the radar.
I don't care if I get a lot of comments, and I know I won't by far,
But I do wish for others to at least know it's safe to critique,
No need to worry about me getting into a fit of pique,
For I have decided from now on, to set my poems to "Honest Critique".
I think I'm finally ready for the change,
And all my old work is also getting this change.

Sometimes it is helpful to add something to the Note Box like
"I'd really appreciate some indepth analysis on the writing of this."
Even when tagged "Honest Critique", some poems can come across as a confessional venting of sorts that readers may feel should be honored as is out of respect for the writer's feelings "at the time such were expressed".
