once upon a life
the rose of morning
day of the dead upon
my lips
first cigarette,
sunglasses on
life walks by, an
old blind man
with a
cane
porcelain skin
porcelain China
porcelain thoughts
easily shattered by
a disarming
truth:
Ghandi,
Mao,
King,
Idi Amin--
different sides of
the same
human
coin
the devil doesn't say,
"Pardon me,"before
he takes your
soul
and I'll be dammed
if I'll apologize for
how I have
lived my
life
so
screw
you
