Author's Note
Lately I've accompanied my walks to the office with "These Are Days ," a joy-filled song written by Natalie Merchant and originally performed when she was the Front-Goddess for "10,000 Maniacs." I fell in love with Natalie Merchant's voice and genuinely serene smile and demeanor when I first saw her appear as a guest on "Late Night With David Letterman" many, many Moons ago. Ever since I've been inspired and at times heartbroken by her songs that accentuate life's positives and expose the open wounds, the scars of heartrending times of trials and pain that beset us all to varying degrees.
