Valentine’s Day Is…

…a day of love,  
And not just romantic love,
But a day of plutonic and brotherly love,
Love for the human race,
With genuine care for other beings without bias or prejudice.
 
Valentine brought that balance into the universe,
After all Saints are revered for their charismatic works,
And in giving real and honest love we should all thirst,
For a harmony that can reach to be extensive and diverse.
 
It is the duty of dreamers and poets
And all of you should know it,
That the verse we converse about should always,
always be uplifting and inspiring,
And when one motivates another,
It can be symbiotic.

Perhaps that’s the lesson from all those centuries ago,
Showing compassion is a way of loving others,
Being benevolent and kind,
It should be something we practice everyday,
And we’ll carry the spirit of Valentine.
