Walk with Me
There's a man who walked on the ocean
There's a man who walked on the sea
There's a man who walked on my troubles
and came to rescue me
He lifted me out of my burdens
He lifted me out of my woes
He said that if I walk with him
He'll help me stay afloat
|: walk with me o Lord
walk with me o Lord
Over land and over the sea :|
Are you sinking beneath your troubles?
Are you sinking beneath your load?
As you try to row on the ocean
You can't seem to stay afloat?
Just reach up to the Savior
Just take Him by the hand
and you'll walk over the billows
as you walk over dry land!
|: walk with me o Lord
walk with me o Lord
Over land and over the sea :|
There's a man who walked on the sea
There's a man who walked on my troubles
and came to rescue me
He lifted me out of my burdens
He lifted me out of my woes
He said that if I walk with him
He'll help me stay afloat

Would make a good song for churches today. First verse takes me back to 'Put your hand in the hand of the Man who stilled the water (The Man from Galilee.)'

Glad to hear how you sing it. Tried to sing along but these youtube pieces seem to seize up at odd moments then refresh themselves. Liked also hearing your baby's approbation.

This is a beautiful hymn, Jess. I love acapella when it comes to singing them. And the baby at the end was perfect.
I've nominated this for the Spoken Word of the Month comp.

Oh, wow! That's such an honor!
For the past 20 years I've looked to see if there was a song my subconscious copied, but to no avail. I know it's original, but it sounds old. It came to me in a build-up of hard circumstances with a small rush of creativity over a week or so. Sometimes words are like bridges. God in words and music got me over rough waters. 🎶

DJ was an amazing little jam partner! I had to leave in his vocals! He was face shining, hip-slapping-himself, perfect!
He's not even two! Mama is so proud!!

I've got cleaner vocals. Check them out! Husband was helping... also added in waves, which is nice.
He was impressed sitting at the computer... with my vocal instrument, he said, and suggested a vocal duet, suppressing a tear, which was uber adorable. 💖
I may not have a giant voice, but it's controlled, so very easy to work with in the studio and more is in there than you catch at first glance. I sing very quietly. He didn't have to do any tuning. It's basically dry and unedited, but stacked.

Not exactly Shakira/goat /hammer vibrato... but I do have a vibrato habit unless trying not to.
