Decay at Hospital Carraway
These halls once stood to preserve life
Beneath desecrations I think they were white
These empty windows through which come that breeze
Once glorious glass shining down on the city
Where once it smelled of flowers and bleach
Now just decay, mold, and feces
The ominous artworks of heathens and squatters
The elevator shafts filled with stagnant waters
Broken glass, black mold, and excrement
Hollow walls decrying farmers from engine room to basement
Crematory alone has remained white and clean
As if preserved by the spectre of the destruction it's seen
I am alone, here in this place
A monument to the decay and greed of the human race
Once it was safety and wellness and health
Now it is empty, and it reeks and seems like hell
The rooms where the dead ended
Where the weak did not survive
Still bear their hauntings
And the corpses no one would find
The psych ward is stunning, soaked and littered in debris
I wonder what horrors went on here, unseen
And then climb back down to the clean crematory
Beneath desecrations I think they were white
These empty windows through which come that breeze
Once glorious glass shining down on the city
Where once it smelled of flowers and bleach
Now just decay, mold, and feces
The ominous artworks of heathens and squatters
The elevator shafts filled with stagnant waters
Broken glass, black mold, and excrement
Hollow walls decrying farmers from engine room to basement
Crematory alone has remained white and clean
As if preserved by the spectre of the destruction it's seen
I am alone, here in this place
A monument to the decay and greed of the human race
Once it was safety and wellness and health
Now it is empty, and it reeks and seems like hell
The rooms where the dead ended
Where the weak did not survive
Still bear their hauntings
And the corpses no one would find
The psych ward is stunning, soaked and littered in debris
I wonder what horrors went on here, unseen
And then climb back down to the clean crematory
