Image for the poem Galileo

Galileo's Star

Like the stars observed by Galileo in the midnight sky
Your beauty's such a pleasing sight for sore eyes
I want to be that guy who possesses your heart
Reviving your love bug with a jumpstart

The words that depart my lips are genuine
I'm so in awe of you; no need to pretend
We can start out as friends and take it slow
You'll dictate the speed in which we'll go

Just know that I'm willing to wait for you
I wished upon a falling star and it came true
Bringing me you to share my galactic excursions
No need for a prototype, you're the perfected version
