Dances With Pain
Too damn shy before
to dance for observers
Like an unlucky moth
alone - a light I circle
Not for others happily
stepping on me with
tough leather soles
But for soothing pain
shooting through
the gaping holes
learning to float
my hips like a ghost
beheading the stiff rapport
between head and shoulders
letting my arms ride the grief
rolling through my heart
like waves over boulders
this way and that
losing my ego
to an open window
free with the pain
strings of harmony
reorganizes me
pulling me back
This time not too shy
for a bright new page
Would you like to see me
dance for you onstage?
