Juggernaut

How small this size
Is it that Colossus threatened stride
When you are floundering like fish
Its shadow looms as dark as pitch

Not just a pantechnicon it drives
To move a mass to change our lives
Like an avalanch that shifts
To be overwhelmed in its drifts

As with war or just peace delayed
It rolls and thunders that convey
To the victor memories and numbers
That cataclysm on and on it rumbles

The tide make an intrusion
To drown and to destroy
That tsunami  rises like a demon
Sweep in and take all before

The plauge that comes to harm
To ruin all, the fires that burn
The forest is no more
That magnitude not seen before

The volcano in full spate
Earthquake as we stand and shake
Nature with its "force majeure"
Plays its hand with conjured measure

Will of man to rise with fervent grist
A juggernaut of faith and shake his fist
Not take it all but fight it back
And stop that devil in its tracks
