Imperfect Passion

Passion isn't Perfect.
Its not clean, or orderly, or flawless.

It's Raw and Real and Beautiful!

I do everything in my life
       with imperfect passion.
And it works for me,
       regardless of what you think!

So don't tell me I can't string beads in my hair.
They're meaningful and expressive.

Don't tell me my poems don't rhyme.
If the right words rhymed, I would've used them.

Don't tell me my penmanship is sloppy.
I'm too busy writing for tomorrow to care.

And don't you dare tell me to quiet down and blend in!
I stand out because I was born to!

I live my life with the most Imperfect of Passions.

Because there's no other kind.

And no other way.
