Crumbling to Monolithic
I know some who
when faced with their demise
scream and flail most impressively
And then there's me
I stare it down and wax wordy
assuming I decide to speak at all
I'm no better than you
if I cry silently
or refuse to believe my demise
Like you I'm lost to useful
conversation
or other socialization
It's artism-now
as my pun head poetic
I can't lift a finger to brush hair
or tie shoes
If you eat my food
you'll be singing the blues
but that assuming I manage to
do anything at all.
If you are the sun
the sun in my sky
still I'll move heaven and earth
You can hiss and cuss for my name
and curse on yourself for the same
but in the end
our love will bury
everything
that
crumbled...
