Deepening shadows
It is easy for me to kneel before
The passions and pleas
And their wide open doors
To succumb to their fall
The lavish anguish of their calls
To feel my soul wrapped in their shawls
Harder yet between the wants of oiled fonts
And the flickering of their flames
There is a need to the path
Of the deepening shadows outside
The passions and pleas
And their wide open doors
To succumb to their fall
The lavish anguish of their calls
To feel my soul wrapped in their shawls
Harder yet between the wants of oiled fonts
And the flickering of their flames
There is a need to the path
Of the deepening shadows outside
