Star Light

When my fight is awash with the dark holds of night
I raise my eyes to the isle of a lone star’s light
I find its grace listening in its watch of time glistening
Heeding my while, its persistence reconciles my smile
Your passage above the aisles of trees and bounds of seas
Leans into me with the breath of a warming breeze
