Forever Changed
Seasons change.
🌿
Most beautiful things,
bloom for only a season,
at just the right time,
🍃
The trick is seeing,
and appreciating,
while they are in bloom.
🌱
Then, learning
to take those experiences with you
when the season fades into memories.
🌺
Author's Note
I wrote this down a few months ago, when I was feeling overwhelmingly grateful (to the point of unstoppable tears) for the great teachers in my life, both in and out of a classroom.
I can't see them, but they are with me wherever I go.
I love them so much.
"I am, because they were"

To honor the life lessons we receive, those who bring them to us and the times we share is beautiful, awareness, reciprocal with the spirit of living. Well said and I like the dispersal of emojis throughout. 💖

Thank you so much, Daniel.
I always love reading your comments, thank you for taking the time to really read my poetry. I really appreciate that. ❤
I'm so glad you like the emojis, I really wanted to pull more beauty into the words, while remaining simple.
There is a kind of a minimalist type 2nd poem within this poem, in italicized in bold, that I'm not sure if others picked up on, to further emphasize the key points. 🙂
I hope the New Year has treated you and yours kindly thus far. ❤

Oh wow I didn't make that connection, I figured the bold typeface was for emphasis. Thank you for pointing that out. It's great you are using the tools available in creative ways.

This is such a wise and astute poem whose metaphor can be carried over from nature to humans.
Wonderful poetry!

You're very welcome. It's a beautiful poem reminiscent of an Asian influence ( to me ); very worthy of an RL.
