Sheep Dog
Natural protector
Of the worlds flock
Standing my ground
Firm as a rock
Heads on a swivel
Always aware
Even though humble
The sheep I do scare
They really don’t like me
I fill them with fright
Even as I keep them safe from
Things that go bump in the night
I live by the rules
Yet not afraid to fight
Gentle as a feather
Only covers my might
My kindness not weakness
The beast is not dead
He sleeps and he waits
Until it’s time to be fed
I may be old
But test and you’ll see
The wrath of an old
Weary sheep dog like me
Of the worlds flock
Standing my ground
Firm as a rock
Heads on a swivel
Always aware
Even though humble
The sheep I do scare
They really don’t like me
I fill them with fright
Even as I keep them safe from
Things that go bump in the night
I live by the rules
Yet not afraid to fight
Gentle as a feather
Only covers my might
My kindness not weakness
The beast is not dead
He sleeps and he waits
Until it’s time to be fed
I may be old
But test and you’ll see
The wrath of an old
Weary sheep dog like me
