Visibly Weeping @ Starbucks

( a Quatern )

The time he read my “Virtuoso” verse,
A newly published po’em years before.
That lulled him like a childhood fable curse,
As inspiration swept throughout its score.

A fugue that countered Mozart's Requiem,
The time he read my “Virtuoso” verse.
A calm he felt and where it had come from,
Despite a coffee’s strength to then immerse.

As sweetness overcame the bitter thirst,
While basking in “Ave Maria”’s glow.
The time he read my “Virtuoso” verse,
A set-up then a take-down’s ebb and flow

His tears’d bring him from the wilderness,
To open a horizon’s universe.
By Schubert’s rearrange of tenderness,
The time he read my “Virtuoso” verse.

Author's Note
My thanks to member NewBeginnings for RL’ing “Virtuoso”, which I went over to reread myself after years, and rediscovered my Tomcat’s (Hepcat61) beautiful comment, which has inspired me to write THIS piece (now part of my Starbucks collection (#5)!
